Nas debuted his first album “Illmatic” on April 19, 1994. Nas has been honouring its 20 year anniversary of the album that “was a real game-changer”. Nas took the anniversary of the album to “Real Time with Bill Maher” to discuss its impact on music and what it was like working on it.

Along with Nas being added to the list of guests, Jay-Z had appeared on the show as well.

On the album’s affect when it first came out Nas said,

“There are a lot of friends of mine who had albums that came out around this time and for some reason, there’s a difference. I’m really proud of this. It holds up really well because the content is relevant today.”
