31 year old Queens resident Fidel Vidal Diaz was decapitated late Friday, due to oncoming traffic as he made an attempt to cross the Grand Central Parkway near LaGuardia Airport.

Fidel crossed into the eastbound lane of the highway and was on his way to the westbound lane when he was hit twice. First by a 2005 Mustang and then a 2002 Volkswagen. Authorities confirmed that he died on impact. Police said that both drivers that hit Diaz, remained at the scene and wasn’t charged. They are still baffled as to why he even tried to cross the dangerous highway.
