The same issue that landed Lauryn Hill in prison back in June, is still following her. After a three-month bid in Danbury Federal Prison for tax evasion, it was rumored that Hill still had issues with the IRS owing $866,868.05.
Hill’s publicist, Kathryn Frazier is stating, the media is twisting up the story. She is not in any trouble and every thing is on track. Check out the statement that Frazier released after the jump.
Kathryn Frazier’s Statement:
“So the gist is this: Contrary to media gossip there are no changes in Ms. Hill’s legal status. Ms. Hill has finished her sentence, has been fulfilling her agreement with the IRS, and is taking care of all outstanding matters in regards to this situation. She is not in jeopardy of any further charges. The press is reporting on paperwork that had recently been filed, and has now become public record.”
Long story short, the du-wop queen is on a monthly payment plan, and the paperwork was just made viewable. Well, good! Now that that’s in order…
