It all comes down to the law, and although Soulja may be innocent, he may get stuck with this charge. A few days ago, Soulja borrowed a car and ended up getting pulled over, police say the gun was in ‘plain view’, which technically would give them legal reason to search and detain someone. Soulja’s Manager says he borrowed the car from a neighbor, and had no idea the gun was in the car, which is more than reasonable.
Soulja’s manager ‘CEO Miami Mike’ says officers told Soulja ‘someone had to take responsibility’, and although it was in cali, that sounds correct, if a gun is found, legally it has to be someone’s. Now although Soulja is saying he never told the cops the gun was his, he also said he ‘borrowed’ the car, and since he claimed the car, to the cops he claimed the gun. Now If the gun is legal, and the neighbor claims it, the case will most likely get thrown out, but if no one claims it, it may stick with Soulja Boy.
He’s Soulja not saying much after getting out:
The Plain view thing, yeah that’s gonna stick, there’s no way to prove if it was or not, at least not without proving they knew the gun was in the car, so it’s the passengers word against the cops :-/
I met Soulja briefly at CES, Cool dude.
