Pennsylvania was in a complete uproar in 2012, when political figures put on the table a law that required all voters to have valid identification. Today, Judge Bernard McGinley has ruled in the favor of the voters. According to the Associated Press, McGinley feels that the “law places an unreasonable burden on the fundamental right to vote.” AGREED!
Lacking ID or having to go out and get one forces some to stay away from the polls on voting days, and it’s now FLUNKED. The state is expecting an appreal to the Supreme Court, but I have a feeling that the decision will not change. Good job PA!
