Suffering from a severe stutter and –at times– unbearable pain due to cerebral palsy, Jacqueline Patterson of Kansas City, MO. discovered that weed helps. So far, in the United States, only 20 have allowed the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. Inconveniently, Patterson’s state does not. Check what what this could mean for her after the jump.
Because it’s (technically) illegal in her home state, every time Ms. Patterson smokes, she runs the risk of losing custoy of her children.
She goes on to state [that] “Being a good mother to my children is the most important thing in the world to me. I hate the way I stutter and it’s the most effective treatment I have found. But if I were to get busted buying or smoking marijuana there is a possibility I could lose my children.”
