Jack Hake, a 93 year old, British World War II veteran became extremely devastated after the loss of his wife of 73 years. His way of coping? Taking on the last wish of his dying soul mate and raising charity money for those that cared for her, during her last days.
While dying from a nerve disease, Victoria Hake the late wife of the veteran, confessed to him that her only regret before leaving is that she was not able to re-pay those who have cared for her while under the care of the helpful nursing team. He took it upon himself to find a way to raise money for the women who deeply cared for his wife, and at 93 I must say, he is one daring man!
Hake decided to raise money by sky diving for the nurses’ team, and he did not leave his dear wife behind, he plunged from 10,000 feet, attached to her ashes!
