Officer Carden Spencer was fired according to the Dallas Police Department after being caught shooting a man that was mentally il, hit the jump for more!
After a neighbor’s surveillance camera caught an officer shooting at a mentally ill 52 year old Bobby Gerald Bennett, who allegedly did not even charge at him, he has been terminated from the Dallas Police Department stated Police Chief David Brown.
Bennett is known to suffer from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, says his mother Joyce Jackson, and had not taken his medication when he was shot last week. Officer Spencer wrote in a statement, that he had shot Bennett after he lunged at him, and was charged with aggravated assault, yet the charges were dropped after the investigation on Officer Spencer began.
“What happened 10 days ago should have never have happened in the first place, and I want to make sure it never happens again,” stated the Bennett’s family attorney, George Milner.
