Shaq has been highly critical of Dwight Howard ever since Dwight entered the NBA. At times it seems like he is just picking on him since he was compared to Shaq the most and Shaq loves to make things clear that nobody will ever be like him. Other times however, what Shaq says about Howard seems dead on. Well seems the Diesel is still talking and it doesn’t sound like much has changed. Is he right though? Hit the jump.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Shaq was asked if he thinks Dwight can take the Rockets to the next level. Shaq said no, and also said Howard has not improved since he got in the league.
“I don’t think so. I don’t think so. Believe it or not, it ain’t about him. But if he leads by good example and the others follow, they could be dangerous. They could be dangerous, but he’s in his what, ninth or 10th year? He’s been the same all those 10 years, so can he get better while working with Rockets aide and Hall of Fame big man Hakeem Olajuwon? Is that going to take him to the next level? I’m not sure….
Agree or disagree…Has Dwight gotten better as a player, or does he still rely on his athleticism to get him by? I agree with Shaq to an extent. Howard has never improved his offensive game in my opinion, but he is still a monster on the defensive side. This season in Houston should be very interesting.
