Joe Bell the father of a bullied gay teen who committed suicide, embarked on his journey to honor his son and spread awareness on his tragedy, yet ironically this became yet another tragedy in itself. While the fat he began his nation wide run, it was cut short as he was tragically killed, hit the jump for more detail!
As a father took on a cross country marathon, stopping along the way to speak and raise awareness on LGBT discrimination through the tragedy of his late teen son, a determined Bell was struck and killed by a truck.
Joe Bell the father of Jadin Bell, a fifteen year old, who was suspected of being bullied for his sexuality, decided to take on the country after his distressed son committed suicide.
He was killed last night while running through Colorado when a semi truck struck him. The truck driver is now being charged with reckless driving and is suspected to have fallen asleep behind the wheel. The father’s plans were to begin Oregon and walk about 15-25 miles daily, with his occasional stops of public speaking for the Faces For Change campaign. The campaign is an anti bullying movement in honor of the bulled teens memory.
It is sad that more tragedy has been added to the family, support their efforts in anti-bullying by visiting Faces For Change
