13 children have been sent to hospitals in Connecticut after a swing ride malfunction during the annual Oyster Festival, Hit the jump for more details!
After power failure occurred this Sunday afternoon, on a swing ride located in the Norwalk Oyster Festival grounds, children “fell to the ground” immediately; leaving 13 children injured and two of them “badly hurt”.
“Police said most of the injuries were minor, and the children were treated on the scene. Several children were more seriously injured, including two that appeared to be badly hurt, police said. The injured children were transported to Norwalk, Stamford and Bridgeport hospitals”
“State police spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said troopers with the state fire marshal’s office were headed to the scene to investigate the accident”
