As far as stardom, there is a huge difference between now and the ’70s. For one, the rock star persona was built then –circulating sex, drugs, and music. Nowadays, there’s much more attention on the stars with social media and the increasingly aggressive paparazzi. Former teen idol, Leif Garret decided to share some experience-based words of advice in the direction of Justin Bieber explaining how handle the limelight. Hit the jump to see what he has to say.
When asked by FOX reporters of any advice he has for Justin Bieber, Garret responded with, “Do not believe your own publicity. Sussing out who your real friends are is full-time work. Every scum bag, every drug dealer, every chicken hawk wants a piece of you.”
Figures Garret would know, he has prevailed through countless avoidable arrests and drug stints. Hopefully Bieber recognizes and straightens up.
