You remember the Bloodhound gang right? Here’s a reminder, their song ‘Bad Touch’ included the infamous line ” So lets do it like they do it on the Discovery Channel” Yeah those guys! Well they’re still up, kicking and touring. Their recent concert in Russia was flooded with massive stirred up some controversy! hit the jump for more detail!
The negative reception received by Russian concert goers was not because of the BloodHound Gang’s music, surprisingly. The real beef came with a previous performance that the artists had in the Ukraine, where the band’s bass player, was seen shoving the Russian Flag down his pants. After he shoved the flag down the front of his pants and pulling it back out through the back of his pants, he yelled back at the audience ” Don’t Tell Putin”.
The video of the act hit the internet soon after and that sparked the reaction from Russian concert goers. As the U.S band returned to the airport after, they were spotted by activists whom began throwing eggs and tomatoes at the vehicle they were in. The Russian Cultural Minister decided to take his statements to twitter after the show and stated that the “Bloodhound Gang is packing its bags,” “These idiots will not perform in Kuban.”
Russian officials even took the band off of their flight to Moscow for questioning. Russian prosecutors are looking to see if they could try the bass player Jared Hasselhoff with defamation to the flag. This just happens to occur during a time when Russian American Relations are not doing too well! His argument is that it is band tradition to put every item that is going to be thrown off of the stage in their pants, the audience seemed to be looking at the flag negatively he claimed so that was the object of choice for that nights performance.
Next time maybe he’ll think twice before shoving something down his pants?
