A woman was on her very first date with a man she met online. Jennifer Rosoff was an advertising executive who had worked at Lucky Magazine and The New Yorker. She ends up inviting the man back to her apartment for a nightcap. Find out what happened after the jump.

As they were sharing a nightcap, she started to stretch out her leg on the railing. When her date advised her not to do that, she told him that she does it all the time, and the railing broke loose. A neighbor described it like this: “I heard a bang. I thought it had been a gunshot,” neighbor Steve Hersch told DNAinfo. “Then I heard many, many sirens.” The building have ordered the residents not to use the balconies until they are inspected, which they have not been for some time. RIP Jennifer Rosoff.
