Apple just received a patent that suggests that future cameras on iPhones as well as iPads will be able to capture photos with significantly higher quality using a triple lens and triple sensor design. Check out the details after the jump ..
The patent describes the three camera sensors, one for brightness and the other two for color. By using a second lens for color the image processor will be able to compare the data from both lenses leaving your image with a more accurate color. Each sensor will have its own assembly and its result would leave users with better quality color pictures, especially in times of poor lighting conditions. Don’t expect to see this on the 5S, but it is definitely in the cards for future Apple devices.
