Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao has revealed that he wants to run for president when his fighting days come to an end.
The 34-year-old has been active on the political scene for several years, ever since he ran for election to the Philippine House of Representatives in 2007.
Speaking to AFP, Pacquiao said: ‘When I started boxing, of course I was planning, you know and thinking about getting to become a champion. So when I enter politics it’s the same thing.’
Pacquiao has been a world champion in eight different weight categories, and is now a current congressman in the Philippines for the district of Sarangani.
