Although many have pushed for the resignation of mayor Bob Filner, Filner has assured that he will be bringing his work with him on his two week vacation to a behavioral clinic. Filner will be checking himself into a behavioral clinic for a two week span, in order to “address” and find an explanation “for his behavior.” He has been accused of sexual harassment in the forms of lude comments, “inappropriate touching” and kissing by women whom worked and surrounded him at political events. Filners’ accuser’s are engraged by his lack of empathy by not resigning or stepping down and appointing another while the allegations are occurring. Amongst the drama that Filner has created for himself he seems to place the true blame on the generational gap separating him from those around him. He took his talents to Youtube earlier this month and stated:
“It’s a good thing that behavior that would have been tolerated in the past is being called out in this generation for what it is: inappropriate and wrong.”
