Cleveland researchers have recently made some new discoveries regarding the process of aging. To be more exact, they’ve now found out what the frequent lack of sleep can do to your overall appearance. Hit the jump to see the specifics.
Dr. Elma Baron of the University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, who was the head investigator of the research, concluded that “[Her] study is the first to conclusively demonstrate that inadequate sleep is correlated with reduced skin health and accelerates skin aging.”
She went on to say, “While chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to medical problems such as obesity, diabetes, cancer and immune deficiency, its effects on skin function have previously been unknown.”
Pretty impressive. Maybe this will tone down (no pun intended) the use of toxic anti aging creams.
