French x Kanye

It’s no secret that Kanye West and French Montana didn’t invent their usage of the ad-lib “Haaaan” on their tracks, but they’ve most certainly popularized it over the last couple of years. However, ATL rap duo The Ying Yang Twins can actually lay claim to the phrase (noise? Saying?), having been known to use it on nearly every track back in the early 00’s. On a new song from the guys, they call out both French and Yeezy, adding, “Excuse me Mr. P. Diddy and Jay-Z, you presidents, if your artists use our lyrics, don’t that make us relevant?” I’m not sure if they’re going to garner much of an apology from either one, though French did RT a link to an article on the topic, adding “Haaaan.” Ha! Listen to the track below. Should YYT have a seat, or do they have a point?
