Morrison told the officer the dog had barked at him first.
Morrison appeared before a judge at 9 a.m. Sunday was released on his own recognizance. He was processed for release from jail on Sunday morning.
On June 16 Morrison was arrested for punching a bouncer at Gainesville bar and acccepted a deferred prosecution 12 days later. If Morrison fulfilled the terms of the agreement in six months, he would be cleared of charges in connection with a bar fight.
Last week, Gators coach Will Muschamp said he had not decided whether to suspend Morrison.
