Soon after the dreadful verdict of the Zimmerman Trial, many took it upon themselves, to fight for what they believed in, and took to the streets for protesting. Today a more organized and massive form of protesting is being held. Read more after jump.
Reverand Al Sharpton has organized “Justice For Trayvon” rallies throughout the nation today. Over 100 cities are set to gather around federal buildings in honor of Trayvon Martin, this includes renown cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Not only are residents in these cities coming out but celebrities have decided to join the cause as well. Jay Z and Beyonce are set to join Al Sharpton as well as Trayvon Martin’s mother and brother, during the rally in New York CIty. The rallies are not only in honor of Trayvon Martin but in hopes that this will invoke the judicial system in opening a civil rights trial against Zimmerman.
