Google gave iPhone and iPad users a significant update in the form of an update to its popular browser, Chrome. The desktop version of Chrome has been kicking around for years and has grown to be one of the most widely used browsers. Chrome on iOS is growing into a serious threat for Safari, the native iOS browser. This update brings fullscreen browsing to iPad users and a comprehensive browsing history to both iPad and iPhone, a feature strangely absent since the browser’s mobile debut.
This update also brings support for enhanced interoperability with other Google Apps like YouTube, Maps, Google+ and Google Drive. If you have a problem hitting your data cap on your mobile device, Google has your back – this update to Chrome also brings enhanced compression to reduce data usage and enhance mobile speed.
