His contract expires at the end of the season and his recent play has made people question whether this NBA Finals run will be the last one of his career. Ginobili says he’s thought about this season, but right now there’s only a small chance this is his last season. “Sometimes I do think about retirement, but then I say, ‘No, no. I love what I do. I’m very lucky to be in a franchise like this. So I really can’t picture myself being retired already.

Threre’s a small chance. It’s not that I’m really considering, but I can never say ‘no’ for sure, because I sometimes consider it.” Ginobili is at the end of a 3 year, $39 million contract. Spurs General Manager R.C. Buford says the team is waiting till the offseason to discuss Ginobili’s future, adding that it’s the team’s hope Ginobili plays his entire career with the Spurs.
