Early this morning, former Hawks All-Star Mookie Blaylock was taken off of life support and his condition was upgraded to critical. He is now in guarded condition, but seems that he is improving, even if it is slowly. Sadly one of the passengers in the van he hit, 43 Monica Murphy was pronounced dead late last night as a result from the crash. She was riding in a van with her Husband, Frankie, when they were struck head on by Mookie’s Escalade. The husband sustained a broken ankle. Jonesboro, Georgia Police chief Franklin Allen said Blaylock has a history of seizures and they are trying to determine if he had one just before he lost control. This is a very sad story and our hearts and prayers go out to Monica Murphy and her family. Let us also pray that Mookie’s condition continues to improve.
