Startup company, Fanhattan has announced plans to sell a new set top box that streams online content. The device is called Fan TV and will include a no button remote control as well as the ability to watch pay TV services. Fan TV would join a market that already has a host of devices that were created to stream online content, like Amazon, Netflix and Roku.
I personally don’t think this set box top will survive in an already saturated market. Not to mention, the Xbox One will have the same capabilities as these streaming devices. It will be hard for Fan TV to compete and would have to offer something these other devices don’t already offer besides a cool remote.
