May snowstorm
April showers bring May snowstorms? That seems to be the case for the Midwest. While those of us in the NYC area have been enjoying great May weather, the Midwest is currently under at least a foot of snow! Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin are facing closed roads, power outages, and more after the snowstorm yesterday. Although the region has had snow in May, it has never been as much as they currently have. In some areas there is up-to 18 inches of snow and the temperature has dropped down to 30 degrees. At least there is one plus side to snow in May, not having to suffer from allergies like most of us are! Read more below

Northwest Wisconsin received 18 inches of snow yesterday while 15 inches was dumped in southern Minnesota. 54,000 Wisconsin and Minnesota customers were without power following the storm and half of them have had their power restored. Snow also fell in Texas and Oklahoma but there was no accumulation.
