Yesterday afternoon, it was revealed via a radio interview that Kid Cudi had left his longtime label, Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. It was pretty shocking, considering he’s been on the label for over 5 years now, and has worked extensively with Kanye in that time, but Cudi said he simply wanted to “start my own path.” He even said he’d spoke to Kanye and he supported it. Today, Complex reached out to Def Jam for comments. Below is their response.
