According to Hip Hop Wired
Fox is developing a show based on the former football player’s legal troubles.
Touted as a “tentpole event series,” the 10-12 episode program is tentatively titled, The Run of His Life: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, based on a book of the same name. “Everybody remembers where they were when O.J. Simpson, riding in a white Bronco, led the police on a low-speed chase all over Los Angeles,” the network revealed in their statement, crediting the chase with the “birth” of reality TV.
Additionally, Fox says that the show will “take viewers behind the scenes of ‘The Trial of The Century’, driven by the nonstop plot of a courtroom thriller and presenting the story of the trial as it has never been told.”
Though Simpson was found not guilty in the murders of his wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, civil suits were filed and won against him. Simpson attempted to tell the story of the murders in a hypothetical way when he released his controversial book “If I Did It”. The book was later pulled. It’ll be interesting to see what information FOX uses for the TV show.
