Uh-oh Jets’ fans. How do you feel about this?! We heard the rumors last week and it looks like Darrelle Revis wouldn’t be mad at this trade! Can you guess which team Revis says a trade would be “awesome?!”
Report after the jump…
Via Mike Garafolo, USATODAY:
The New York Jets keep saying their main concern with Darrelle Revis is getting him healthy.
Revis has other concerns, such as where he’s going to play in 2013.
In an interview with Seattle Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson at the facility where both players are training, the four-time Pro Bowl selection spoke about how the trade rumblings the Jets took a month to shoot down have affected him.
“This hit home. This definitely hit home,” Revis told Robinson. “Especially being one of the best players out there and come to find out you’re getting shopped. Yeah, I mean, it really hits home. But it really doesn’t matter where I’ll be. I know what I can do. I’m confident in what I do and that’s why I’m here at Brett Fisher’s working out now.
“So whether it be there with the New York Jets or if it be with another team, I have to do what I have to do and play ball and do my services for that team.”
…
The 49ers would then have to pay Revis, of course, but no detail was going to get in the way of Revis speculating whether he could be in San Francisco next season, trying to get Jim Harbaugh’s bunch a title.
“Well, you’ve got to tip your hat off to them for what they have done this past year. This is a team with a great coach, Harbaugh, and great players on their team. I mean, they (made a Super Bowl) without me last year,” Revis said. “Looking at their roster and their team, I would just be an addition to help them win that trophy.
“Would it be awesome? I mean, yeah. My main goal as a player, and I think of all of us as players in the NFL, is to hold that Lombardi Trophy up in the air and to wear that ring.”
