Australian radio DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian’s prank lead to the suicide of Nurse Jacintha Saldanha. The DJs called the hospital that Saldanha worked at claiming to be the Queen of England asking for information about Kate Middleton’s condition. Although Saldanha didn’t even give the DJs classified information, she did answer their call and had them transferred to a nurse who did give them information. Read more below.

Mel Greig and Michael Christian have been cleared in the nurse’s death. There was not enough evidence to charge the shock jocks on charges of manslaughter like originally reported. The DJs have apologized and stepped down from their jobs as a result of the nurse’s suicide. The nurse, who was a mother of two, blamed the DJs in her suicide note.
