Gaming pionner Atari is filing for bankruptcy for it’s U.S. sector, for protection and to separate themselves from their French parent company. After having some financial troubles in early 2000 and France’s Infogrames Entertainment took a stake with the company and accuquired more in stake in 2008 due to the financial difficulty and then changing the name of the company to Atari S.A.. Atari is now seeking an approval for $5.25 million in debtor-in-possession of its assets from private investment firm Tenor Capital Management.
