Rapper/singer Azealia Banks is NO stranger to controversy…as the newcomer has traded shots with everyone from veteran DJ Funk Flex to someone who opened doors for artists like her (Nicki Minaj) to fellow newcomer Iggy Azalea and many more in just her short time in the game. Her latest came this weekend, starting with another newcomer, Angel Haze, and spilling over with famous blogger, Perez Hilton. The latter resulted in most of the controversy, as she called Perez (who’s very vocal about being gay) a homophobic slur. All of this resulted in a new rumor that she was dropped by her label Interscope before she could even put out her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste. Complex did some digging and got the 411 below.
Complex reached out to a rep from Interscope themselves to get the real deal.
When asked for if the young MC has been dropped, a source at the label told us, “No, she’s still with us.” Banks continues to work on her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, due out later this year.
So there’s the answer to that….for now!
