HTC plain and simple had a dismal of a year, they released some devices to no fan fair. To change things around HTC now has a new Marketing Chief to shake things up. Not sure what plans HTC may have for 2013 but with the momentum Samsung has with its GS III i’m pretty sure no one is checking for HTC anymore. I cant to update from HTC Evo 3d to Samsung’s GS IV which is suppose to launch in March according to rumors.
HTC’s current marketing and sales chief Jason Mackenzie will focus on sales strategy, the WSJ reports, while current CMO John Wang will be stepping down.
HTC said that Mr. Ho’s first project at the company will be dubbed “Marketing 2.0,” with a goal of “refocusing HTC’s efforts around holistic marketing and mass-market brand outreach.”
