Joy Lynn Martinez was married to her husband for six years and at first thought he was her answer to her happiness, her prince charming. Then she became suspicious of his crazy behavior, before discovering he in fact was a serial rapist. He had committed so many sexual related crimes by using chemicals to make his victims unconscious that he was titled Ether-man. She had been reading reports regarding this Ether-man and realized that her husband’s moving timeline and erratic behavior matched the felon’s then realized they were the same person, hit the jump.
She recalls…
“But a year into their marriage Ms Martinez described that her husband became increasingly
‘controlling – and cheap’, and after she discovered that he had secretly filmed the two of them having sex, she decided to leave.
‘There I was, on-screen, clearly unconscious as Howard had sex with me in our bed. My head spinning, I stopped the tape, ran to the bathroom, and threw up,’ she recalled.
‘How could he do something like that to me? My mind was made up.’He was sentenced to 156 years in prison.
