Judge Stanley Christodoulou had it 117-110, and Adelaide Byrd and Dave Moretti 118-109, all for Martinez. Martinez is the new WBC middleweight champion of the world, and also the lineal champion.

Martinez praised Chavez for a great fight. Chavez has one eye swollen shut and the other halfway there, and his face is pretty messed up. Martinez also has more marks on his face than he ever has. Martinez says he would give Chavez a rematch.
