Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump’s former mansion caught on fire today. The scene was so bad that 100 fire-fighters were needed to assist. Read the rest of the story after the jump.
BEVERLY PARK (KTLA) — The $19 million former mansion of reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump, known for her role on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, went up in flames on Friday evening.
More than 100 firefighters were called in to battle the blaze that began around 6:30 p.m. at the 8-bedroom, 9-bathroom home at 50 Beverly Park Way.
The fire, which was reported at about 6:30 p.m., burned through the floor and the roof of the attic.
Large flames and smoke could be seen shooting through the roof of the mansion. The roof then collapsed, sending thick black smoke into the sky.
One firefighter was injured by a piece of ceiling that fell.
That firefighter was listed in serious but stable condition Saturday evening.
None of the current residents were home at the time of the fire, the Los Angeles City Fire Department said.
Firefighters believe a construction crew probably sparked the fire.
The house was featured on the opening credits of Vanderpump’s show and was also where her daughter Pandora got married.
Vanderpump and her husband Kenneth Todd sold the house last year for almost $19 million.
They had purchased the home in 2004 for $14 million.
The house is more than 15,000 square feet and its lot is more than 113,000 square feet
