Alex Rodriguez went on ESPN New YorK 98.7’s “The Michael Kay Show” and said he knows how LeBron James feels as he tries to win his first championship.
“Sometimes I feel so bad for him,” Rodriguez said. “I feel like I feel his pain more than anybody. LeBron is definitely under the microscope. He is going to be judged on whether he wins a championship. So, yeah, I’m really hoping he gets this one behind him and I’m cheering for the Heat, but ’09 was a career changer for me.”
What is like to be the center of attention?
“I tell you this Michael, it is not fun being the villain,” Rodriguez said. “It [stinks.] Pre-’09, I felt I was the villain all the time.”
Post-’09, A-Rod said he is treated great everywhere he goes — home and away.
