According to Deadline, Jamie couldn’t make it because he was New Orleans on set with Quentin Tarantino filming the slave narrative ‘Django Unchained,’ and J. Lo had American Idol obligations. Damon Wayans’ absence raised a lot of eyebrows because not only did he star in some of the most popular sketches like ‘Home the Clown’ and ‘Men on Film,’ but he also was the co-creator of the show alongside his brother Keenan.
Word is that he didn’t want to go to the ceremony “because it wasn’t his thingâ€, and to add insult to injury, he denied the network’s request to use any of the scenes that featured him such as the popular ‘Homie The Clown’ and ‘Men On Film’ skits.
