Chris Johnson probably isn’t in the best position to make such a claim but I guess you have to respect his confidence. Â The Titans running back made a big prediction saying he would lead the league in rushing this year. Â Read more after the jump.
The highly criticized running back tweeted this yesterday:
You would think he would learn after failing the past two years in a row of living up to his claims and having a career low in yards, yards per carry and touchdowns during the past season. Â His numbers have been on the decline and are more criticized after his widely publicized holdout which led to a big payday.
There’s no doubt that Johnson has the ability to achieve the feat but it doesn’t mean it’ll happen. Â Besides his own lackluster performances, the Titans finished 31st in rushing last year and don’t exactly provide an offense conducive to Johnson’s goal (terrible run-blocking).
