After a thrilling Wild Card weekend, capped by Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos unbelievable overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the favorites to win Super Bowl XLVI still remain in Green Bay.
But the Patriots and Saints are right behind them, followed by the Ravens and 49ers.
The Packers had a bye in the first round and will take on the New York Giants in a rematch of an thrilling Week 13 contest, when Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay to a game-winning drive in the final minute at MetLife Stadium. After squeaking into the postseason by beating Dallas for the NFC East title in the season finale, the Giants’ defense smothered Atlanta in the first round and New York went on to win 24-2.
In the AFC, the top-seeded Patriots must prepare for Tebow, again. Tom Brady and co. demolished Denver earlier this season, 41-23, but Denver’s improbable win on Sunday night probably instilled some hope among Broncos fans (but nowhere else, since they’re the least favored team).
