2011 was quite a year! From Twitter beefs, to Twitter bringing people together, to Twitter finding a missing girl…the social networking site has done it all. Based on the stats (amount of hits) on our “Twitter Talk” posts, I compiled a list of the top 20 moments you guys loved from the little blue bird this year. Check out moments 20 through 11 after the jump.
20. Rihanna & Chris Brown Are Still In Love
WELL, I don’t think Karreuche is going to appreciate this! Just the other day, Rihanna was on her usual tweeting spree, talking to fans and getting feedback about what the next single should be off her recent album, Talk That Talk. I guess Chris saw his ex was currently online, so he tweeted a sub. “Love U more than u know!” he wrote. Just minutes later, Rihanna replied, “I’ll always love u. #1love” I wonder if they’ll ever get back together!
19. Deiondra Sanders Goes IN on Pilar About Divorce From Deion Sanders
Earlier this week, a report was released that Pilar learned that Deion Sanders wanted a divorce through the internet. Well according to his daughter Deiondra Sanders, Pilar is a liar and she went on a lengthy twitter rant going IN on Pilar. She said Pilar had known about the divorce for a while, only wanted to be with her dad to use him, was getting it in with younger rappers and producers and more! It got pretty nasty. The two have yet to peace it out!
18. Atlanta Rapper Pill Takes To Twitter To Vent After Being Dropped From MMG/Warner
Pill went on a huge Twitter spree shortly after Christmas this year, airing out his frustrations with having been such a sought after act in 2009 alongside then upcomers Nicki Minaj and Drake, but falling to the wayside now. He named all of his accomplishments thus far (it’s a pretty lengthy list) and basically said his label didn’t do shit for him and it was a waste of time. Turns out, it was because he’d been dropped from his label, Maybach Music (a division of Warner Music Group). Wonder what’s in store for him in 2012!
17. Drake’s Producer 40 Goes At Common On Twitter After Common Reveals “Sweet†Is A Drake Diss
In Common’s new record “Sweet,†many felt he was taking jabs at Drake in some of the lyrics. “Y’all n*ggas man, y’all soft motherf*ckers / Singing all around me man, la la la / You ain’t motherf*cking Frank Sinatra / Uh, lil’ b*tch / Sweet ass motherf*cker.†Com was asked before if it was toward Drake and he’d replied, “Some people have been saying that, but on that song, I’m just talking about whoever the cap fits. I’m talking about rappers out there that’s soft and doing the same thing. So if the cap fits, then that’s who it is,†he said “That’s all it is. It’s whoever the cap fits, then let ‘em wear it. I think it’s a lot of creative artists out there. I think Drake makes some good music.†Not really confirming it was to Drake but then a few weeks ago after his appearance on Shade 45, he confirmed it was. “Common just confirmed…â€sweet†is directed at Drake and “whoever else wants it,†morning show co-host Devi Dev tweeted while he was in studio. Drake’s producer 40 then followed up. He said he was called a bitch in the 9th grade because he had Common’s CD, said people don’t call Com “hip-hop” because he’s too R&B and that he loves Common, while adding he also loves SWV and John Legend (another way to call Com R&B). Could this all be over Serena?! No further words have been exchanged between the camps.
16. Nicki Minaj And Cher Exchange Words Over A Misled Fan
Nicki Minaj and Cher had a brief altercation on Twitter a couple months back. Someone told Cher that Nicki dissed her in “Did It On ‘Em†and Cher fired back saying many people have dissed her and they have all come and gone. It turns out the whole thing was a misunderstanding and Nicki didn’t diss Cher but that didn’t stop Nicki’s rumored boyfriend Scaff Breezy from jumping into the convo. Cher even apologized for her words about Nicki saying “U R right ! Someone said I was dissed..I’ve been dissed b4,but instead of finding out I just got defensive ! I should know better†in a deleted tweet. Even Nicki joined in, @’ing the iconic singer and telling her to “@stopit5” and laughing over the situation with fellow gay icon, Jeffree Star. All tweets have since been deleted.
15. 50 Cent & T.I. Exchange Words Over T.I.’s Interview In Vibe Magazine
Though it hadn’t even hit newsstands yet, T.I. was getting a lot of attention from his special feature in VIBE magazine. In the interview, T.I. reacted to some comments rapper 50 Cent had to say about his recent case and Fif caught wind of it pretty quickly and took to his Twitter account to respond to it all. “Man I just saw something T.I said in VIBE about a tweet I wrote when he caught his drug case,” 50 shared. “He just got out a jam and caught a new one. Any other time a nigga done. Get caught with 10 machine gun an silencer then catch a drug charge. You will f**k around and get natural life. This boy got a get outta jail FREE card. Don’t get emotional over your lady. It a get you in some sh*t you don’t want to be in. If U can get 5 years easy 4 some sh*t and I’m the support of my family. Why would it be wrong if ya lady had to take probation? Shit she ballin to lol.” Then T.I. fired back from his Twitter, saying he ain’t “tweefing” with anyone because he follows the OG code. The two later got on a call together and all is well now.
14. JoJo Simmons Speaks Out Against Tranny Allegations
We gotta do some research on these people before we’re making plans to meet with them and exchanging numbers after just a few DM’s! Yikes! Honestly I feel like the transgendered chick tricked him. What is definite, though, is that after a few direct messages on Twitter with this chick, they took it to texts. We DON’T know what “Julisa†was saying to JoJo, we see his reponses. Things like “yea i don’t judge..u seem cool too†and “i love head†are pretty crazy, but let’s not assume “Julisa†was saying she’s a tranny. After “Julisa†put out a video on Worldstar (where else!) putting him on blast, Jojo responded via Twitter (where else!). “Come on with this bullshit on Worldstar,” he vented. “Plz dont believe as soon as i found out i aint hit that fuck nigga back i dont roll like that. But i dont lie he hit me nd when pix were sent i knew wussup from the jump so i left it alone real nigga shit. Rumor done. To crazy this nigga tried to flip it talkin bout its a ill freak sending pix of bitches ass nd “it” know damn well the t.s. Wasnt there. â€it†had a bitches ass in its avi when it tried to hit me…yea i said i dont judge it before i knew it was a it nd it was sayin its a freak. The moral of the story is nomore tryna bag on twitter without fully knowing lol cuz that would never happen in person. Say what you want but i cant b mad cuz all that shit is bullshit now back my day. All this gay shit cool.out with that i dont judge nobody but i aint no faggot all my bitches know.†His poor dad. LOL. He later deleted a majority of the tweets and from what I’ve seen, people have kind of let it go.
13. 50 Cent Responds To The Rick Ross Seizure “Situationâ€
After Rick Ross suffered from multiple seizures, Twitter followers of both Ross & 50 Cent tweeted Fif asking if he had any words for Rick Ross about the situation at hand. Although 50 Cent and Rick Ross’ beef traces all the way back to late ’08, early ’09… Fif answered with a mature response and kept things moving. “he gotta take care of his self” Fif replied to a fan asking if he had any comments. Someone then asked if he’d pray for Ross, and he replied, “no but I don’t wish DEATH on him my grandfather had a seizure.” Good to know 50 can be grown about serious things like this!
12. Lil Wayne Mad at DJ Khaled Over Uncle Luke
In an online interview, former 2 Live Crew member Uncle Luke spoke out against Miami dwellers (but not “nativesâ€) Lil Wayne, Diddy, DJ Khaled and more…saying they should do more for the city that they now reside in. A few nights later, Uncle Luke appeared on Miami’s 99 Jamz radio station with DJ Khaled (obviously they squashed that issue, LOL) and while I’m not sure what exactly was said….I’m assuming it wasn’t good! “This Nigga Luke trippin!!” Weezy took to his Twitter to say. “I ain’t feelin khaled rite now neither,” he added. They must have buried that little hatchet though, because nothing else came out of this.
11. Trina & Blogger Sandra Rose Go At It Over Trina’s Sexuality
On an episode of “LaLa’s Full Court Life,†Trina makes an appearance as La and her girls try to set up the newly single rapper on a blind date. As controversial blogger Sandra Rose (she’s previously gotten into it with Rihanna and more) watched the show, she decided to question why they were even bothering doing so, as (apparently) she’s under the impression that Trina is a lesbian. “Y u mad.. #trust if I am it would NEVER be w/u #sitthefuckdown,†Trina tweeted for her first response. “@SandraRose Fuck u and your wack ass blogs!! U can start cuz bitch I will finish!!!!!†Trina continued. “@SandraRose Y are u even blogging about me! I don’t give a fuck about your lame ass blog! u disgusting ass ugly fucking peasant!!!!†Sandra got a lot more personal, however.

They eventually left it alone but Sandra hasn’t posted anything on her site from Trina since.
