Yesterday, singer Miley Cyrus released a music video in support of the Occupy Wallstreet Movement that has swept the entire country. While supporters of the movement feel it was with good meaning, they don’t think it’s merely good enough as having her actually out in the streets with them really taking a stand. On one hand, I can see where they’re coming from because anyone can just SAY they support a cause but if they’re not doing much to help, it makes no difference. On the other hand, Miley is a very influential celebrity so by her even making her support vocal, it CAN help a lot. Not to mention, she’s a bit too famous to just hang on the street. See what the OWS peeps are saying below. Who are you agreeing with in this one?
Priscilla Grim — co-editor of “The Occupied Wall Street Journal” — tells us, Miley’s music video tribute “rocks” in spirit … but she doubts the singer has the cojones to actually hit the streets.
Priscilla tells us, “I double dog dare [her] to fight on the front line of economic civil rights at LA City Hall” — adding, “Revolutionaries occupy, Ms. Cyrus.”
