Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook was arrested early Saturday morning on two charges of domestic assault, according to a report on 1500 ESPN Twin Cities radio.  Cook is being held without bail at Hennepin County jail and has a court appearance scheduled for Monday morning.  Read more after the jump.
Police have arrested Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook on domestic battery charges that could cause him to miss this weekend’s game against the Green Bay Packers.
Eden Prairie police spokeswoman Katie Beal says the 24-year-old was arrested without incident after someone called 911 around 2 a.m. Saturday to report hearing people across the street yelling and screaming.
Cook was booked into Hennepin County jail and online records showed he was still there around midday Saturday. He is due in court Monday morning.
Cook is in his second year with the Vikings and was expected to start Sunday’s game against the undefeated Packers in place of the injured Antoine Winfield. Cook’s absence would leave the Vikings’ secondary extremely thin.
The team says it’s investigating the incident and has no further comment.
Cook also was arrested in March and charged with brandishing a firearm during a fight. He was acquitted in a bench trial in May.
