Tomorrow’s Michael Jackson Forever tribute is losing performances, one all-star at a time. The Jamie Foxx-hosted extravaganza was originally set to feature performances from Christina Aguilera, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, Chris Brown, & The Black Eyed Peas but now reports are saying that both Breezy and the BEP will not be in attendance. Find out why after the jump!!
In Chris Brown’s case, reasons for his non-attendance are not voluntary. Apparently, it’s Breezy’s criminal record that’s holding him back. The domestic violence charges stemming from the 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna resulted in the denial of a VISA grant. In other words, Chris Brown is barred from the U.K.
The Black Eyed Peas, on the other hand, found themselves removed from the tribute for “unavoidable circumstances.”
“It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth-shattering artists,†said Chris Hunt, head of Global Live Events (the sponsoring promoter).
Even though the tribute has some setbacks, tomorrow’s event will definitely be a sight to see! Stay tuned for coverage!
