After the New York Jets beat the New England Patriots in the playoffs earlier this year, Bart Scott made headlines in a ESPN post game interview with his tagline, “Can’t Wait”. Using the momentum he has built with the catchphrase, Bart Scott decided to do something positive and reach out to fellow football player, Eric LeGrand.

He created 4 limited edition “Can’t Wait” T-shirts to raise money for Eric, a 6’2″, 275 lbs. Rutgers defensive tackle, who suffered a severe spinal injury during a game against Army on October 16, 2010. After an emergency surgery to stabilize his spine doctors later determined that LeGrand was paralyzed from the neck down. Since then Eric has begun to make significant progress in therapy, regaining movement in his shoulders and sensation throughout his body.

Although Eric faces a long and difficult road ahead, in terms of rehabilitation he still has optimism. He is quoted as saying.”I believe that I will walk one day…I believe it”. Bart believes so much in Eric’s unrelenting drive and commitment to recovery that he is donating every dollar form the T-Shirt sales to the Eric LeGrand Patriot Saint Foundation. The Eric LeGrand Patriot Saint Foundation is an organization dedicated to aiding the support and welfare of Eric and his family. On behalf of Eric and Bart your support is greatly appreciated.
