With Hurricane Irene moving quickly towards New York, Governor Cuomo has declared a state of emergency and has activated all levels of state government to prepare for any situation that may be caused by the storm.

As the state prepares, Governor Cuomo wants all New York City residents to know where they may find shelters in their local communities.
