You don’t hear this everyday: a trash truck lost part of it’s load and the remnants, strewn across several across several city streets, included part or the Packers’ playbooks.

The pages in question were from the preseason game against the Cardinals and involved just special teams. The Packers told WBAY that they weren’t concerned about the spill since the pages were recycled instead of shredded, which is what they do with sensitive material.

So why weren’t they shredded? Because we’re guessing the special teams game plan for the Cardinals went something like this:

Kickoff coverage: Kick ball out of end zone, come to sideline.
Kickoff return: Watch ball sail out of end zone, come to sideline.

At the time of the spill, Deputy Jason Vogel didn’t have time to find out the nature of the game plan or its importance. He acted first and asked questions later. “I was just running radar here on (Highway) 57 here — Riverside Drive — and noticed a Waste Management truck going southbound and a bunch of papers flying out of the back of his truck,” Vogel said Tuesday. “I notified a sergeant and told him what I had and that we might need to notify some people.”
