In March, a federal judge pushed Ja Rule’s prison sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon back, so that he could finish an album in an attempt to settle his debt with the IRS.

Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, is currently serving two years in prison, after pleading guilty to attempted criminal weapon possession, stemming from an arrest in July of 2007, where police found a gun in his Maybach.

He must also pay $1.1 million in back taxes.
