(HP)–A thief in suburban Wilmette stole an iPod from a vehicle, but left a pair of Chicago Cubs tickets in the glove box.
TribLocal reports that someone took the $200 iPod from an unlocked vehicle in the 1000 block of Miami Road “sometime between 6 p.m. June 26 and 8:05 a.m. June 27.”
Even though the burglar opened the vehicle’s glove box and moved items around, the thief passed on a pair of Chicago Cubs tickets.
Usually, Cubs games sell out even when the team is struggling. This year, however, ticket sales are down as well as attendance and beer sales.
