The casting director at MTV is putting the rumors that the Jersey Shore will be recast after next season. Reports began circulating last week that the network had become bored with the cast and planned on giving them the axe. The spokesperson for MTV told RumorFix that they love the cast and they will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Read exactly what he said after the jump.

Doron Ofir, Executive and Supervising Casting Director for Jersey Shore, tells RumorFix exclusively, “It’s a lot of fodder of crazy.”

Although TMZ and RadarOnline reported that MTV wants to change up the cast for a sixth season, Ofir tells us, “I have heard nothing about replacing the original cast.”

If the famous reality stars were replaced, MTV would stand to save a bundle — each guido and guidette are said to make $100,000 an episode.

A network spokesman also tells RumorFix, “We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun. We currently have no plans to recast the show.”

Ofir concludes by saying, “One can hope that we fist pump forever.”
